King's Grant Presbyterian

Ministries

Children

At King’s Grant Presbyterian Church children are a vital part of our church family. Our ministry for children is

vibrant and energetic

and offers countless opportunities for families with children from birth through fifth grade, to grow in faith together, and individually.

Sunday Morning

King's Kids

Our Sunday morning faith formation program is called King’s Kids, which prioritizes loving God through relationship development, learning, and worship.

Children (Pre-K through 5th grade) start their morning in the sanctuary with their families so they can become comfortable with some of the elements of worship. During passing of the peace, they move together to their classrooms.

Sunday Morning

Nursery

On Sunday mornings, we offer nursery care for children newborn to 36 months in room 120 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our paid staff of certified nursery care workers provide a loving, nurturing, safe, and engaging environment with supervision for our youngest members and visitors.

Children

Music Opportunities

Our children’s program incorporates age-appropriate instruments, movement, and singing on Wednesday evenings.

Register Here

  • Wednesday 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. | PK3 – 1st grade | Simple instruments to reinforce pitch, singing, and movement.
  • Wednesday 4:50 – 5:30 p.m. | 2nd – 5th grade | Instruments to develop more complex rhythm patterns and pitch, movement, and singing

Older students are intentionally welcomed to join the last few minutes of younger groups to assist them, review skills, and be ready to move on in their group.

Youth handbell (6th – 12th grade) rehearsals and worship participation occur periodically throughout the church year.

Summer

Every summer, for a week in July, children in preschool through rising fifth grade have fun, make new friends, and learn about God in this week long faith forming experience.

Family Worship

WOW Weekend

Windows on Worship (WOW) is a family worship experience where children & families learn together about the parts of worship to create a more meaningful worshiping experience. Families attend the half day program together and rotate through workshops on reading the Bible, Communion, Baptism, Acolyting, and Music in Worship.
