Building Congregational Vitality

We build congregational vitality by challenging people and congregations to deepen their faith and get actively and joyfully engaged with their community and the world.

Here are some ways that you can get involved:

-We are committed to lifelong Christian faith formation. Check out our Faith Formation Model here!
-Read Matthew 25

-Join us for one of our Prayer Tent events.
-Volunteer for Bethlehem Walk, an event where we bless our community with the story of Jesus.

-Help us to spread the word about the amazing things happening at King's Grant Presbyterian Church by liking all of our social media pages.

Dismantling Structural Racism

We work to dismantle structural racism by advocating and acting to break down the systems, practices and thinking that underlie discrimination, bias, prejudice and oppression of people of color.

Here are some ways that you can get involved:

-Visit our newly updated church library! We have added a number of books that will help you to learn about structural racism.
-Join the discussion. We will continue to offer classes and discussions that promote racial dialogue. Check out our Grow page for a list of current offerings.
-Take the 16 Day Race Equity Challenge

-Write to our governing bodies to advocate for improved public policy on racial inequity.

-Get involved with the work that we are doing with the Interfaith Alliance at the Beach.

Eradicating Systemic Poverty

We work to eradicate systemic poverty by working to change laws, policies, plans and structures in our society that perpetuate economic exploitation of people who are poor.

Here are some ways that you can get involved:

-Learn more about systemic poverty and the circumstances that cause it from the National Poor People's Campaign.
-Work through the Lazarus at the Gate Study which focuses on our economic discipleship. Here is a link to the study guide

-Invest wisely! Learn about how you can work to end poverty through your investments.
-Our church supports many children in the Compassion International Program. Learn more about the program, and consider supporting a child here

-Keep an eye out for volunteer opportunities that are related to this area. We have many volunteer opportunities with Judeo Christian Outreach Center and other local organizations.
